Mexico

Is a missions trip to Mexico about advancing the Kingdom of God or is it about advancing American pride? Or is it perhaps a way to work on our personal character issues. Yes, lets go on a missions trip, make it as difficult as possible so all our character flaws come to the top. Scrap off the top and return to our home churchs with a successful missions trip under our belts. If we don't change either the trip wasn't hard enough or we must be perfect. It couldn't be that we have the wrong idea about short term trips?

Ramble

Time to ramble on about a few things I guess. New Orleans...the turmoil. Numerous e-mails sent out calling for help....help with food, help with buildings, help with clothing, help for those who have ran out of bullets.... WHERE IS THE CALL FOR PRAYER? Alot of people are giving thanks to God for saving them...then what? Where are the teams of pastors, christians, and congregations heading down to the south to simply pray? Since when do we simply war against flesh and blood?
