THAT moment...
VERY VERY seldom are you part of a moment that you feel has marked time. A moment when you know the earth shifted and something happened. You have no idea how great the destiny of that moment will be...but you KNOW that someday, somehow that moment will leave a mark. You would have to be dead not to feel it watching this clip of Keala. You would have to be dead to not feel it when you watch Shaun White win the 2018 Gold Medal.
Recently my oldest daughter sent me a text. I showed it to my husband and said in this moment an activist is born. We had chills knowing somehow Kelsey was going to making a difference for special needs children at a level that only God could call her to do. It was a divine moment and we all felt it.
Have you ever had one of those moments? Have you ever felt everything shift when you stepped into the destiny God had for you? If you have not had one of those moments I pray with everything in me that you get one! Pursue HIM! Ask HIM! He desperately desires that moment with YOU!

Grace and Jesus Wept
You stood outside my grave
With tears still on Your face
I heard You say my name
My night was turned to day.
“You Came” (Lazarus)
Bethel Music
John 11:33
When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. 34 “Where have you laid him?” he asked.
“Come and see, Lord,” they replied.
35 Jesus wept.
Today our youngest daughter, Grace, turned 8. She is a happy, dynamic young girl. This morning she asked me to take her to a local coffee shop then drop her off at school. Then for lunch she wants Grandma and her Cousin Melissa to have lunch with her. Then it would be really great if her brother picked her up from school with balloons. EVERY SINGLE one of our family members is doing their best to do these things. You see GRACE IS SO VERY LOVED and she knows it. Over coffee she said how happy she is with her life. She has friends, family, nice toys, and that she feels spoiled in a good way.
“You Came” by Bethel Music has been on music loop this week. The scripture Jesus Wept has more of a reputation for being the shortest verse in the Bible than it does for what it really means. It really means that Jesus loved his friends deeply. It means that he hurt when they hurt. Jesus knew what was coming! He knew the tears would turn to rejoicing within hours. BUT HE STILL WEPT! Nobody wants to see someone they love hurt.
I know that Grace is going to have times in her life when she isn’t overwhelmed with happiness. I know that she will lose her childhood innocence at some point. I know she will hurt at some point. BUT GOD! I am thankful beyond words that I know God will weep with us full well knowing in a few hours we will be rejoicing at His goodness. We don’t stay in the darkness. We don’t stay in the pain. We don’t stay in death. We rise! With Jesus we rise!
I hurt knowing what Grace will go through in life. I can not put her in a bubble. The world needs Grace. They need this amazing messenger of God in their lives. She will make a difference for people. She will bring a smile to so many more faces. But this morning my heart weeps just a little wishing I could keep hurt from her door a little longer. She will still cuddle with me on the couch tonight. She will still call me Mommy when she needs me. But having two older children I know this time is limited and I embrace these moments. Again and again I submit my kids to the Lord and leave them at His feet. HE will never leave them or forsake them. HE will weep with them, HE will rejoice with them, HE will walk with them when I can’t . Thank you Lord for loving my children more than I could ever dream!
